Want to help a Pit in need, but don't know where your donation is going?  Is there a particular Bully that we have for adoption that you would like to help but you either can't adopt him/her, or want to donate specifically towards that Pittie?  Our sponsor program is a "virtual Pit Bull adoption" which allows you to choose which Bully you would like to help, rather than just making a donation and not knowing who your donation will help.

Why the need for sponsors?  Several reasons: because even the sweetest, best behaved Bullies can go unnoticed by potential adopters, simply because they are too "average" looking, or not "attractive enough". Or maybe you have fallen in love with a Pit Bull that you saw on our Adopt-a-Bull pages but you are unable to bring him/her into your home.  Sponsoring helps the Pittie of your choice, and allows your donation to provide something special for your Bully, without causing you the daily obligation, expenses, or upkeep of physically adopting a Pit Bull.  It also helps our money go towards another needy Pit Bull- which means another Pit Bull saved from their destined death.

Most of the Pit Bulls that come to Pit Prints are in need of basic veterinary treatment, at least- this includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines (two DHLPP sets for adults, four DHPP/DHLPP sets for puppies, plus rabies for both), heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, fecal testing, intestinal parasite deworming, and microchipping.  These basic veterinary expenses alone generally add up to hundreds of dollars PER dog .  In addition to the basic, routine veterinary care listed above, many of our Bullies need extensive vet care, including heartworm treatment, parvo treatment, demodectic or sarcoptic mange treatment, surgeries, etc. which can cost thousands of dollars PER dog.  In addition to veterinary expenses, it costs, on average, about $100.00 per week, per dog, to maintain the rescue- in addition to veterinary expenses, we also have to consider food, supplement/vitamin (for dogs with allergies, special nutritional needs, etc.), treat, toy, bedding, flea/tick prevention, and bathing/grooming expenses.

Because of the above described expenses, we are always in need of donations- we are not state/government funded, we receive very few donations in comparison to the extent of our bills/expenses, and funding provided for Pit Prints Rescue comes from my (Amanda- President) personal income.  Please try to imagine using your personal money, which you use for your family/house expenses and personal pets, to also care for 20+ physically injured, sick, and abused Pit Bulls.  Now that you understand where our money comes from, we hope you will consider sponsoring, or donating towards our rescued Pit Bulls.

If you already know which pet you would like to help, simply click the button below and proceed with your secure online tax deductible donation. If you would like to sponsor a Bully but don't know which one, simply browse the pictures of our Adopt-a-Bulls and return to this page to continue.
