Boarding
Pit Prints offers reasonably priced doggie day care, sleepovers, and extended stay fun for your companion in our home. In addition, we also provide daytime dog walking services for Atlanta/Metro Atlanta residents while you are at work, school, or just away from home, to provide your dog(s) with playtime, exercise, and companionship while you're not home. We visit your home on the specified day(s) and take your dog(s) for the walks/playtimes of your request (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc.).
All proceeds from boarding, daycare, and dog walking services benefit Pit Prints Rescue dogs. We accept all dog breeds in all sizes, but specialize in the "Bully Breeds"- many boarding facilities are not experienced with the Bully breeds, and/or do not accept dogs of these breeds- for these reasons, Pit Prints is THE place to board your Bully breed!
Our unique home environment is a cozy resort for the dogs, equipped with a kiddie pool outside for summer water loving visitors, a doggie-only play room equipped with full size couches, a doggie-only bedroom equipped with crates/kennels, dog beds, and a couch, and color TVs for those couch potato types. Animal Planet channel is popular around here! Our play room is designated for doggie play of any kind- kong chewers, squeaky toy de-fluffers, and rope tuggers are welcome! Our very large play yard is totally chemical free, shaded, fenced, and cleaned daily. Night time is spent in the doggie bedroom designated for dogs that prefer to sleep in their crates/kennels (fully lavished with blankets, doggie beds, and soft pillows), which is also equipped with a full size couch those who prefer to sleep on the couch.
Our focus is on providing safety and exceptional care for your pet in a supervised setting where they can socialize, exercise, or be lazy as they prefer. Supervision is provided 24 hours per day, so dogs are never left alone- a real accommodation for dogs who have separation anxiety, or just prefer the company of people 'round the clock.
We can accommodate dogs that prefer to be around other dogs, while also being able to properly handle those who are dog aggressive and cannot be around other dogs. While we prefer not to allow dogs who board to interact with one another (to prevent any unexpected fights from occurring, considering the Bully breeds tend to have some level of dog aggression as they mature), except those who live together and can safely be kept together, we can make exceptions if you are specifically wanting your dog to receiving interaction with other dogs while here.
Special needs are easily accommodated- senior dogs, dogs with allergies, dogs with special food requirements, dogs that need daily medications, or even physically disabled dogs.
Boarding rates are based on the number of dogs you have, the accommodations you need/want (at our home, or in your home), and because we promote responsible dog ownership...whether or not your dog(s) is(are) spayed/neutered.
Our goal is to offer reasonably priced boarding services and Pit Bull experience for your Bully to provide the perfect home-away-from-home for your special canine friend while supporting our rescue efforts. Please contact us via e-mail at amanda@pitprintsrescue.com for more information on our boarding, dog sitting or dog walking services....in our home, or yours.

Training
Training services are also offered for all breeds, though Amanda (president of Pit Prints Rescue, and the trainer/CGC evaluator) specializes with the Bully Breeds- this is important, as many trainers are not familiar with the strict demands of the Bully Breeds training needs. Whether your dog is in need of obedience training, behavioral training, housebreaking/crate training, or receiving the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) or American Temperament Testing Society (TT) test, we can help your dog reach his/her ultimate training level. Training consists of private/individual sessions with you AND your dog, and can be scheduled around your convenience; we do not offer "group" classes, for the most effective training of your Bully, individual sessions are all we offer to address the individual training needs of each dog. Your dog can prove to be a happier companion when properly trained, and for the Bully Breeds, this is imperative to show your dog as an ambassador of their breed.
Basic obedience, or advance obedience is offered for any dog in need of basic training. We are also highly experienced with special needs/behaviorally challenged dogs that may have separation anxiety, jumping/nipping problems, housebreaking/crate training problems, poor leash/public manners, etc. No behavioral problem is too complicated for our experience- however, for clarification; we DO NOT work with dogs that are aggressive towards people.
Amanda is a certified AKC CGC evaluator, so if your dog is ready for the CGC test, we can conduct the test for you for a minimal fee of $20.00. We can also help your dog prepare for the CGC if your dog is not quite ready for the test, or help prepare your dog for the American Temperament Testing Society (TT) temperaments test. Both the CGC and the TT test are tests that any responsible dog owner, of any breed, should look into. More information about the CGC test and the requirements for the test can be found by visiting http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/program.cfm and information about the TT test can be found at www.atts.org
If you're interested in training for your Bully, here's what to expect from our services:
Your first session will be the longest and most detailed, beginning with an evaluation so Amanda can assess your Bully (or non bully breed) to determine the individual needs and training requirements for how the dog will learn best. Once the individual needs of your dog have been addressed, a training session will follow to address the specific training needs; owners are required to participate in the training sessions, and will be asked to demonstrate the training techniques shown to them with their dog to ensure that they have an understanding of the training techniques. They will then be given "homework" training to do at home with 5-10 minute training sessions at home each day to work on what is learned during our session. This first session with the evaluation is $100.00- and there are no time limits, so you are not paying for a set 1-hour session (for planning purposes, I tell owners to expect a MINIMUM of one hour to discuss their expectations, wants, needs, etc. as well as devote time to questions, demonstrations, and training itself; most initial sessions with the evaluation last about 1 1/2- 2 hours max, depending on the level of training the dog already understands/has, the number of questions the owner has, and the number of problems the owner is currently having with the dog).
Typically, the evaluation/session and homework will achieve the desired results for your dog, and few dogs need more than two sessions (many only need one), but if a second session is needed, we can gladly accommodate additional sessions if you feel your dog needs it, or if you choose to accelerate the training and work to a higher level. Additional sessions are $75.00 per session, and as with the initial sessions, have no time restrictions.
Training advice/suggestions are available (no charge!!) to owners who train with Pit Prints at any time if you forget something learned during a session, need advice on dealing with/handling a newly developed problem, decide to try another command on your own, etc. CGC
evaluations/certifications are also offered at no charge for dogs trained with Pit Prints.
