Sonny is an absolutely gorgeous chocolate male American Pit Bull Terrier. This sweetheart has been in rescue for almost a year, after being adopted from a kill shelter and then given up by the adopter- he hopes you'll fall in love with him; he promises to love you unconditionally if you just give him a chance to prove how fabulous he is. He's a quiet boy who rarely barks, which is typical of the Bullies. Sonny loves car rides, sleeping in the bed with his people, and toys and treats (which he takes gently from your hand, like a gentleman).

Sonny adores people of all shapes and sizes, and wants nothing more than to please them. He knows basic commands, "sit", "stay", "come", and "give paw". He is an affectionate lap baby who loves to cuddle and kiss. He makes NO complaints about being bathed, groomed, handled all over, or having food/treats/toys removed from his mouth. Sonny's only vice is that he is not dog friendly- while he likes some dogs at random, there is no pattern to the dogs he likes/dislikes, so we never know when he'll like or hate another dog- he's shown aggression towards female dogs, so his aggression is not limited to dogs of the same sex. Due to Sonny's dog aggression, he will not be placed into a home with other dogs.

Sonny is housebroken and crate trained. He has been neutered, kept current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, kept current on heartworm prevention, fecal tested, dewormed, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Sonny is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Sonny or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption.
