Mooch is a beautiful one year old black female American Pit Bull Terrier. This sweetheart has found herself in need of a home after wandering into someone's yard in February 2008, and having no owners claim her. Her host family wishes they could keep her, but with having numerous other pets of their own, they just can't keep Mooch permanently. This sweet girl was probably used to produce puppies, and was no longer useful to her owner; she has recently had puppies, although no pups were found when she wandered to her current foster home. She's an energetic girl who loves a good playtime, and an occasional jog here or there, otherwise, she enjoys lounging around, and enjoying "the good life".

Mooch does well in the car, and loves toys, treats, and attention. She adores people, and wants nothing more than to please her people. Very eager to please, Mooch will be an easy one to further training with, and could easily be handled by someone with little/no Pit experience; in a short time, she's learned basic leash manners (still gets excited and pulls at the sight of other animals), as well as learned her name, and commands such as "sit", "stay", and "come"- her foster family are continuing to work with her obedience during her visit with them. She interacts well with other dogs, but plays extremely rough (typical of the breed), and should only be placed in a home with another dog who can handle her very rough nature (as with most Pits)- preferably, another Bully; due to the Pit Bulls' tendency for same sex dog aggression, she will not be placed in a home with other female dogs.

Mooch is housebroken and crate trained. She has been spayed, kept current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, kept current on heartworm prevention, fecal tested, dewormed, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Mooch is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Mooch or any of our rescued Pit Bulls.
