Gunny is a handsome two year old chocolate male American Pit Bull Terrier. This handsome bully boy was found as a stray and taken in by a kind family who is just unable to keep him permanently and offer him the home he needs. A mellow, shy, easy-going boy, he'll make a wonderful addition to just about any home. He promises a life full of kisses and warm nights in bed if you just offer him a forever home and a life full of pampering and spoiling.

Gunny is a sweetheart of a boy who loves everyone he meets, children included; he currently is being fostered with cats, and would be ideal for a family needing a cat-friendly Pittie. He doesn't have much training, but with his laid back disposition and lovable personality, he'll win your heart despite it; he knows basic commands such as "sit" and "down", has great leash manners, and loves car rides...so he's well on his way to being an easy addition to a new family. He does great in the car, loves belly rubs, giving BIG wet kisses to everyone he meets, and rolling around in the grass, showing off his goofy side. Gunny is affectionate, intelligent, and ever-so-loyal. He's made it clear that he enjoys being spoiled, pampered, and loved. Toys (squeakies, tug ropes, and bouncy balls), car rides, playing fetch, treats, and cuddle time in your lap (and bed) are among his favorite things, though he's grateful for anything given to him. He makes no complaints about being bathed/groomed (although he doesn't really like cold water from the hose), handled all over, or having items removed from his mouth- he's just glad to get the attention. Gunny interacts well with other dogs, though due to the Pit Bulls' tendency for same sex dog aggression, he will not be placed in a home with other male dogs.

Gunny is housebroken and crate trained. He has been neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested and dewormed, heartworm tested negative and kept on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Gunny is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Gunny or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption.
