Gotti is a handsome 2 year old red male American Pit Bull Terrier. this handsome bully boy was on death row in a shelter when saved by a sweet woman who couldn't dare see him euthanized; she also cannot keep Gotti, but is hoping to keep him until a forever home is found.

Gotti is working on obedience training, and currently knows a few commands such as "sit" and "come", he's also learning not to jump, and to wait to eat until told. His favorite pastime activities include long walks, car rides, giving BIG wet kisses to everyone he meets, and rolling around in the grass, showing off his goofy side. He's affectionate, intelligent, and ever-so-loyal. He's made it clear that he enjoys being spoiled, pampered, and loved. Gotti enjoys toys, loves treats, and is beginning his training to be a well-rounded Bully ambassador. He walks well on leash with the assistance of a prong collar, but without one will pull. He makes no complaints about being handled all over or having items removed from his mouth- he's just glad to get the attention. Gotti interacts well with other dogs, though due to the Pit Bulls' tendency for same sex dog aggression, he will not be placed in a home with other male dogs. Gotti has had an incident with a horse, so needs to be away from large animals....and would most likely not be suited for a home with cats. Due to his exuberant nature, he would be best in a home with older children over the age of 7, who are not as likely to be knocked over by him.

Gotti is working on housebreaking, and crate training. He has been neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested and dewormed, heartworm tested negative and kept on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Gotti is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Gotti or any of our rescued Pit Bulls.
