Gabby is an absolutely gorgeous four year old brindle and white female American Pit Bull Terrier. This sweetheart was found wandering the roads of Alabama over a year ago, and has since been in two foster homes while waiting for a permanent home of her own- she desperately needs a stable home of her own with someone who can love her and spoil her rotten! Gabby appears to have a previous injury (possibly from being hit by a car) which affects one of her feet; there are no complications or future care/expenses needed, but Gabby needs a little less activity (playtime, etc.) than most other dogs as a result- she can play, jump, etc. (and enjoys to) but should be restricted from playing heavily.
Gabby does well in the car, and loves toys, treats, and attention. She adores people, and wants nothing more than to please her people- she is extremely affectionate. She is afraid of men until she gets to know them, and once she knows them, she LOVES them as she does everyone else. She's also afraid of thunder and lightning :) She is very eager to please, walks well on leash, and is a quick learner. Gabby LOVES being beautified!! She would be wonderful in a home with children who enjoy dress up, as she loves having her nails painted and being dressed up, to her, it's great attention and she looks forward to it. She interacts well with other dogs, though due to the Pit Bulls' tendencies for same sex dog aggression, she will not be placed in a home with other female dogs.
Gabby is housebroken and crate trained. She has been spayed, kept current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative, kept current on heartworm prevention, fecal tested, dewormed, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Gabby is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Gabby or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption. Gabby has been awaiting a forever home for a long time- please consider giving her the life she deserves. To be considered for adoption, please fill out and submit an Application for Adoption BEFORE contacting us directly.
