Colby is an absolutely adorable 14 month old buckskin male American Pit Bull Terrier. His owner has realized that he got in over his head, and Colby needs more than he can provide him....so his family has turned to us for help with finding Colby everything he deserves in a home. Colby is a typical Pit pup- energetic, active, destructive, and stubborn- he will need a home with someone who is patient, can spend sufficient time with him for training, and has Pit Bull experience.

Colby has made it clear that he enjoys being spoiled, pampered, and loved. He wiggles from head to toe when around his people, he thrives on interaction with people, and just wants to make you happy. He is full of energy (as Pit parents call it, he gets frequent cases of "the zoomies"!) and would benefit from an active parent/family who can offer him sufficient exercise each day. Colby loves car rides, enjoys toys, loves treats, and is beginning his training to be a well-rounded Bully ambassador. Colby does well with other animals, but due to the Pit Bull's tendency to be same sex dog aggressive, he will not be placed into a home with other male dogs. His only vice is that he has not had someone spend time with him for training, to help mold him into a well-behaved- he still has many puppy behaviors (such as shoe chasing/biting) which have not been stopped, and a firm owner would be able to end this with little time and effort. Otherwise, Colby is ready to make someone very happy, and offer a lifetime of love, tail wags, and bully kisses.

Colby is housebroken and crate trained. He has been neutered, has begun his puppy vaccines, fecal tested and dewormed, started on heartworm prevention, and microchipped. There is a $175.00 adoption fee to partially reimburse the organization for the veterinary expenses listed above. Colby is looking for an INDOOR home, ONLY: we do not adopt to homes that will keep our rescued Pitties outdoors and/or on chains, runners, or in fences, kennels, pens, etc- If you cannot/will not provide an indoor home for our Bullies, or are looking to breed/fight, do NOT contact our organization (or apply for adoption) regarding Colby or any of our rescued Pit Bulls. Application, adoption fee, home checks, references, and contract are REQUIRED for adoption. Colby is ready for a loving, forever home with someone who can commit to him for the next 12-15 years of his life.
